Bart Bogaerts, Software/Firmware designer with TASS: “A few months ago, on the morning of my first working day as a consultant with OTN Systems, my heart beat was somewhat faster than it had been on working days so far. Nothing unusual there, you might argue, but to me, it announced the beginning of a whole new chapter in the book of my life. This assignment would mark the very start of my career as a TASS consultant. Before that, I had worked with Siemens for 10 years.

Looking back, there was definitely no ground for my increased heart rate. Very soon, I was informed about their expectations towards me and about the challenges they had reserved for me. A brief training on the OTN products pointed out the points eligible for innovation. I quickly realised how the new generation of products could complement the existing network solutions. As the major part of the analysis work had already been done, we could immediately start the design phase.
